WISŁA BULWARY MOVES AHEAD
After several months of negotiation a contract for the international competition winning design collaboration between RS Architektura Krajobrazu and Artchitecture for the design of the west Wisła riverbank has been signed. Works should begin on this exciting riverbank regeneration in 2011.
MAZURY GATEWAY
1st PRIZE. 13th October 2009. The competition for the masterplan for the land close to the railway station in Ełk was won by Warsaw's Artchitecture. It will be the new town centre. What decided that this would be the winning entry? - The competition entry, whilst a fully complete and realizable project is at the same time open, the finished development does not have to be exactly like this scheme. Future planning is inherently included, this design is flexible- said Sławomir Ryniewicz, the president of Olsztyn's Institute of Polish Architects, one of the jury members. The new centre will be a calling card for our town - said Tomasz Andrukiewicz, the president of Ełk - There will be commercial and residential units. This development will give the city a new breath of fresh air - added the president.
TURNING POINT
This exciting competition entry shows artchitecture's response to the proposed centre of dialogues and breakthroughs - A part of the Polish History Museum - dealing with the immediate post-war history of Szczecin. Our competition entry provides an apt backdrop to Szczecin's "Angel of Freedom" at the same time as repairing the surrounding urban fabric.
GDYNIA - A NEW URBAN PERSPECTIVE
Following on from the success of the Warsaw riverfront design Artchitecture are involved in the development of an urban masterplan by the seafront in Gdynia.
GEMINI RETURNS
Some 12 years after completion of the original building permit and tender packages for the Gemini urban recreation and retail centre Artchitecture are now designing an upgrade to the interiors and exterior to successfully complete the centre's repositioning.
